我是一个中学生。在学校，我最喜欢的课是科学课。每个星期二和星期四，我们都有科学课。
我们的科学老师姓李。李老师很有意思，他教我们很多东西。上个星期，我们学习了水。水可以变成冰，也可以变成气。我觉得这很神奇！
今天，我们做了一个小实验。我们把不同的东西放进水里，看它们会不会沉下去。我用了一个苹果和一块石头。苹果没有沉下去，可是石头沉下去了。为什么？因为石头比苹果重。
我很喜欢科学课，因为我可以知道为什么天是蓝的，为什么鸟会飞。科学让我明白这个世界！

Sounds like the science teach wasn’t very good! The rock didn’t sink because it was heavier than the apple. It sank because it was denser than the apple. You could have an apple as big as the world… and it would still float in water large enough to hold it. And you can have a stone as small as a pebble… and it will still sink. But alas… we’re not here for a science lesson! The reading was good. Thanks for posting!

Yes. I agree with you: the reason that the stone sank was not beacause it was heavier than the apple. I would think the passage should be recorrected. Anyway, I thank you so much for your Chinese posts.
